Ed, Dirk, and Charlie went to Eleuthrea and Abaco for two weeks in November. They were both guided and self- guided and all had a great time. Ed caught his first bonefish and had a few banner days when he and Charlie caught over 20 a piece.
JP and I were on Geat Inagua in The Bahamas during the earthquake in Haiti in January. We were just eighty miles away. We felt it, and had a bit of a scare when the island was under a 'Tsunami watch' for a few hours afterward, but mostly our trip was just great fishing for bones, permit and barracuda in what seemed like our own private paradise. JP got a 25lb Permit, the first he ever threw at, on our first day.
We are headed to Ascension Bay in Mexico in a few days, to see if we can't get Ed in the Permit Club. So I guess Winter hasn't been that bad this year! And with post-spawn Pike fishing right around the corner, I think trout season and summer will be upon us before we know it.
